He often takes part in charity events with friends, like Connor Trinneer, and so he helps to maximize the proceeds for a charity project.
Latest Charity Event: Reading Rainbow Live in New York City with LeVar Burton & Cast from the Star Trek Universe
Originally, this event taking place on September 1, 2016 was anounced with: LeVar Burton and Denise Crosby, Gates McFadden, Nana Visitor, Rene Auberjonois and Michael Dorn. But the life of an actor is hard to plan with fixed dates and so the "Cast from the Star Trek Universe" changed a little bit.
So, sorry, fans & friends of Dominic Keating - I did not know that he was there early enough to inform you.
The final cast - as I know - was LeVar Burton, Connor Trinneer, Denise Crosby, Jonathan Frakes, Dominic Keating and Rene (René) Auberjonois.
Here you can see a wonderful photo of them, showing an excellent mood:

Something about the event
Reading Rainbow Live in NYC with LeVar Burton & Cast from the Star Trek Universe
Reading Rainbow
Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM (EDT)
It took place at:
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum
Pier 86, W 46th St & 12th Ave
New York, NY 10036
There is the schedule with reading and photo-ops of and with the stars.
As you know, Dominic Keating reads a lot of books and made an excellent voice acting (for details please take a look here: Page: Audiobooks, Games and Dubbing)- so I suppose it was more than a joy to listen to him and the other brilliant actors.

Besides: Dominic Keating does not only like to read and to narrate - he also likes Maths!
On the same day, September the 1st, he also attended another museum: the Museum of Math (MoMath) - he has a graduation with First Class Honours in History (B.A.) - so he must be good in figures. ;-)
And here is a really beautiful photo of our Dominic Keating and Connor Trinneer in this museum:
